Welcome to our website. We hope that you will find the information published within it useful and entertaining.
St. Budeaux Foundation School was first established in 1716 and was set up to educate children of the Parish under the patronage of the Church. Since then the school has 'grown' and moved sites 4 times. The latest school was built in 1981. St. Budeaux Foundation School is a Junior school, and is 'home from home' for 200 pupils. We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere and are always ready to welcome new friends.
Our school is a church school basing its ethos on the teachings of Jesus. We encourage and nurture respect for each other and our school. We expect to be treated with courtesy and take pride in the achievements of our peers. Although we are a church school, we encourage our pupils to learn about and to respect in turn, people of other faiths and welcome all faiths into our school community.
Every child matters to us. We like to work closely with parents and children to find ways to unlock barriers to learning and to help each pupil to learn and to grow in a safe and supportive learning environment. We aim to educate the 'whole child' so that when our students move to their next school, they leave as confident, well-rounded members of our community.
We teach The National Curriculum and support it with a wide and varied enrichment programme tailored to meet the needs of Gifted and Talented pupils, pupils with Educational Needs and others who wish to explore opportunities in the Arts or in Sport.
